Angela V. Wright Angela V. Wright 45 beautiful daughter, sister, granddaughter, cousin, niece and friend, made her transition May 3, 2008 at Robinson Memorial Hospital CCU. Angela was born March 13, 1963 in Ravenna. She leaves to cherish her memory, mother Louise (Bob) Parnell and father Fred (Gloria) Wright of Ravenna, brother Todd (Julianne) Wright in Stuttgart, Germany, step- grandmother Pricilla Lloyd of Akron, step brothers Darrell (Sandra) Robinson in Kuwait, Nolon (Michelle) Robinson of Texas, Robert Parnell, Jr. of Akron, step- sisters Marprisa (Marcus) Mariner of Akron, Marchele (James) Sneed of Akron, Marquetus Robinson of Gainesville, FL, Dalayne Robinson of Greenfield, MA, Varinda Robinson of Suffolk, VA and Alanda Robinson of Chesapeake, VA. Angela graduated from Ravenna High School in 1980 and attended the KSU School of Music for a year. She worked for Precise Technology, Inc. in Streetsboro and was a member of The New Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Ravenna. The family wishes to thank the Cleveland Clinic, Akron General Medical Center, Robinson Memorial Hospital, Regency Hospital, Longmeadow Care Center and Maplewood Care Center. Also special thanks to Dr. Eilen Hsich, Cleveland Clinic Heart Group and Dr. Rubin, Robinson Memorial Heart Group. May God Bless You. Donald Thomas MacLearie Donald Thomas MacLearie, age 65, of Shalersville, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2008 in his home. He was born in Ravenna on August 26, 1942, a son of the late, Donald P. and Verna (Dowler) MacLearie. He lived in Portage County all his life and was very active in the Crestwood community. Don was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Portage Faith United Methodist Church. He retired in 1997 from Kent State University as a Computer Lab Technician and programmer/Analyst. For nearly 30 years Don has volunteered for the Special Olympics and the U.S. Figure Skating Association. Don held various positions for many organizations and clubs, some of his memberships included the Portage County Veterans Memorial Committee, Mantua Historical Society, VFW Post #1055, American Legion Post #193, Windham Historical Society, Portage County Historical Society, Ohio Genealogical Society, Public Employees Retirees, Inc. Chapter 63, and the Ravenna Boat Club. He was also most recently recognized by the Portage County Senior Citizens Hall of Fame for his long term commitment to the Special Olympics programs and the Community. Don is survived by his sisters, Margaret MacLearie, of Westerville and Catherine (James) Burnham, of North Kingsville, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his brother, Robert MacLearie. Friends will be received on Monday from 4-8 PM at the Shorts Funeral Home, Ravenna Chapel, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM, with Reverend Carolyn Berry officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Naomi "Jean" Burrows Naomi "Jean" Burrows, age 66 of Ravenna, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2008, at Life Care Center of Medina. Born April 29, 1942, in Kearney, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Clinton and Sarah (Weight) Ritchey, Jean was a member of the Mt. Summit Nazarene Church in Barberton. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, spending time with her grandkids, and singing at church. Survivors include her husband of 46 years Denzil Glen Burrows; children: Justina (William) McQuone of Ravenna, Angela Burrows of Ravenna, Denzil (Ann) Burrows Jr. of Deerfield, Darren Burrows of Canton; brother: Levi "Bud" (Elizabeth) Ritchey of Nelson; sister: Helen (Jess) Miller of Indiana; also survived by 4 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 4 sisters. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Wood-Kortright- Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, where funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Russ Clark on Tuesday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
