Ohio State

In Tom Hardesty's article about the SEC and the lack of major non conference opponents, how about Ohio State scheduling Akron, Kent State and Youngstown State in the same year? The scheduling of weaker or in-state teams needs to stop in college football. The only reason teams are now scheduling such a weak non-conference schedule is so they can be closer to becoming "bowl eligible". There are too many bowl games being played with inferior teams that do not belong. College football needs to reduce the number of bowl games. Teams should be selected based on winning their conference, strength of schedule and won-loss record. Winning 6 games in a season should not make a team bowl eligible.
