"Together Again" Daymond Bill Brannon, age 78 of Randolph, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2008, at his home. Born March 1, 1930, in Calhoun County, West Virginia, a son of the late William and Effie Brannon, Bill now joins his wife Barbara Lee (nee Kennedy) Brannon, who passed away August 7, 1995. The couple was married for 49 years and moved from Akron to Randolph in 1962. Mr. Brannon was a member of the Randolph Christian Church, American Legion Post 685, and VFW Post 1055. Bill enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, and baking he was famous for his homemade pies, bread, and rolls. He worked at Quaker Oats while in Akron, 17 years at Harry Millers Construction Co. as a welder in Suffield, and retired from GM in Lordstown, after becoming disabled. He will be very missed by his 3 daughters: Deborah Christy, Janell (Randy) Hanlin, Cheryl (Les) Ahrens; 6 grandchildren: Jamie (Trish) Christy, Jason (Kathy) Christy, Michael Christy, Jennie (Bryan) Hanlin-Delorso, Ashley (Joe Arena) Hanlin, Heather Lydic; also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. In addition to his wife and parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother Arley Brannon and his sister Janice Bragg. Friends will be received Monday from 6-8 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, where funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Bill Johnson on Tuesday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph.
