SHALERSVILLE Harvey A. Green, 74 years of age, of Shalersville, passed away Saturday April 26, 2008 in Ravenna. Harvey was born in Burton, Ohio on March 21, 1934 the son of the late Lyle and Tilly (Coe) Green. A longtime resident of the Shalersville area, Harvey was employed for 35 years at Goodell Farms. A U.S. Army Veteran, he was a helicopter mechanic. Harvey was a man of quiet manner, who was known for his hard work ethic, his honesty and that he could be truly trusted to look after family members of those who knew him if needed. Survivors include his brother William Barkhover of Ravenna and his dear friends Sharon and Lynn Wright and Frank and Virginia Goodell and their families all of Shalersville. No calling hours. A graveside funeral service for Harvey will be Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 11: A.M. at Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville with the Rev. Fr. James Lang officiating, where he will be laid to rest following the presentation of the American Flag. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & crematory Service in Mantua.
