Waterloo 10,
Ravenna 0
It has been a special year for Waterloo standout pitcher Alyssa Lane.
On Thursday, Lane pitched her third no-hitter of the 2007-08 season.
And remarkably, her second of the week.
Lane did not allow a hit in a victory over the Mogadore Wildcats on Monday.
Battery teammate Sara Shields also has a no-hitter next to her name this season for the Vikings, who improved their record to 14-4 overall with the win over Ravenna (4-18).
The Vikings scored two runs in the top of the second inning, then exploded for eight runs in the sixth inning to close out the contest.
The Waterloo offense pounded out nine hits on the day, led by Jennifer Bolanz's three singles and a double.
Carli Willis added two singles for the Vikings.
Kent Roosevelt 2,
Aurora 1
The Rough Riders picked up a non-league victory over Aurora on Wednesday.
Kent Roosevelt got the win by plating the game-winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning, then held the Greenmen scoreless in the seventh.
Hannah Baughman was credited with the win, which improved her record to 10-10 on the season.
Baughman gave up only two hits in the game, and Aurora's only run came in the top of the second inning.

Boys Tennis
Tallmadge 5,
Ravenna 0
The Ravens struggled on Thursday in a loss to the talented Tallmadge Blue Devils.
In the second singles match, Ravenna's Brandon Pesicek captured a victory in the opening set (6-1), but then was narrowly defeated in the second and third sets.
