TCTC to Begin Nurse Aide CourseApril 1, 2008
With the recent slump in manufacturing, several local residents are seeking to train for a career with the opportunity for longevity. That goal can be achieved in less than one month at the Trumbull Career & Technical Center in Warren, OH. The Adult Training Center at TCTC will begin a four-week course for Nurse Assistants (STNA's) on Monday, April 28. Class meets for 3, 8-hour days per week through May 22. Class will be held at the Adult Training Department at the Trumbull Career & Technical Center in Champion, just east of Ravenna, 1 mile from the Route 5 bypass. The class costs $495.00 to attend, with an additional charge of $96.00 to the testing agency for the STNA exam. Passing this examination enables graduates to work anywhere in Ohio as a Nursing Assistant. Throughout all of Northeast Ohio facilities are seeking trained STNA's interested in working either full or part time hours. Excellent wages, good benefits, signing bonuses, and a lifelong career are available to those who complete this 80 hour training program. For a class schedule, list of course requirements, and information about possible funding for the program, call Terry Shifflet at 330-847-0503, ext. 1609. Comments
