Ashton Jacob Nicholson

Ashton Jacob Nicholson, 11, of Kent, died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 12, 2014.

He was born May 30, 2002 in Parma, to Joseph and Stephanie (Hager) Nicholson. He enjoyed sports especially football, hockey and lacrosse. A.J. liked playing video games, music, 4 wheeling and the trampoline. He loved playing with his brother and sister. A.J. was a fun-loving and outgoing young man with a tender heart and kind soul, who was adored by his family and friends.

A.J. is survived by his parents, Joseph and Stephanie Nicholson of Kent; brother, Camden Nicholson of Kent; sister, Halston Nicholson of Kent; best friend, Liam McLoughlin of Kent; maternal grandparents, Waitman and Cindy Hager of Twinsburg; paternal grandparents, Randy and Nancy Nicholson of Louisville; maternal great grandparents, Ernie and Gerry Hager of Twinsburg; maternal great grandmother, Marge Henry of Stow; aunt, Holly Hager of Austin, TX; uncle, Sam (Jaimee) Hager of Chesapeake, VA; uncle, Brad (Chris) Nicholson of Louisville, OH; uncle, Jared Nicholson of Myrtle Beach, SC. He was preceded in death by his paternal great grandparents, John and Elizabeth Samblanet; maternal great grandfather, Richard Henry.

Calling hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday, March 14 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home Kent and Saturday from 10 AM -12 PM at Riverwood Community Chapel, 1407 Fairchild Avenue, Kent, OH. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, March 15 at Riverwood Community Chapel with Pastor Cole Tawney officiating. Burial will be held at Standing Rock Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Riverwood Community Chapel, 1407 Fairchild Avenue, Kent, OH 44240.
